On January 17, 2024, Astana IT University hosted an annual scientific forum that brought together rectors and vice-rectors for research, leading scientists and researchers, chief and scientific editors of journals, and chairmen of dissertation councils.
The forum was attended by representatives of the National Defense University of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The group of military scientists was represented by the Deputy head of the university, the head of the Military research Center, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Associate Professor, Colonel Sapar Kulatayev.
An important event of the forum was the participation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek, who delivered a welcoming speech and outlined the directions of development of national science and higher education.
The forum focused on the development of scientific expertise, raising standards of higher education and improving mechanisms for evaluating the effectiveness of scientific activities.
The plenary session and thematic sections discussed aspects of effective interaction between the academic community, business and the state, as well as international cooperation and the introduction of advanced technologies. In addition, expert discussions were held on the implementation of state policy in the field of science and education. The forum participants presented cases of successful implementation of the world’s best practices in Kazakhstan’s highly qualified personnel training system.
The organizers and participants of the forum expressed confidence that its results would make a significant contribution to the development of science and higher education.
