The Department of Engineering Troops, Troops of Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection and Environmental Safety trains undergraduates of the operational and tactical management level in the following specialties: Master’s degree programs – “7M12101 – Management in military affairs” (Operational and tactical management of engineering troops); “7M12111- Radiation, chemical and biological protection and ecology in military affairs” (Operational and tactical management of radiation, chemical and biological protection of troops).

Activities of the Department:
1. Organization and conduct of educational and methodological work at a high theoretical, methodological and scientific level in order to train highly qualified specialists with knowledge, skills, skills and professional qualities of officer personnel for the Armed Forces in the field of engineering support and RCB protection of troops of associations (formations), management of units and subdivisions of engineering troops and RCB protection troops in modern combined arms combat and operations;
2. Carrying out scientific research aimed at the development of military theory in the field of organization of engineering support and RCB protection of troops, combat use of engineering troops and RCB protection troops, increasing combat capability and combat readiness of troops;
3. Preparation and release of educational publications (textbooks, teaching aids, educational and methodological complexes of disciplines), educational and methodological and scientific materials to ensure educational activities;

4. Participation in the development of curricula, work curricula, structural and logical schemes for training specialists and schedules of training sessions together with the educational and methodological department and departments of the University.

The main tasks of the department:
1. Increasing the level of professionalism of officers who meet the requirements of qualification characteristics.
2. Mastering by undergraduates the basics of organizing and planning engineering support and RCB protection at the tactical and operational-tactical management level, combat use of military units and divisions of engineering troops and RCB protection troops in combined arms combat and operations.
3. The study of important elements of combat and mobilization readiness, firm and continuous management of units and subunits, the competent use of engineering weapons, weapons and means of defense.

4. Improving skills in developing original and bold decisions in organizing and conducting long-term, active combat operations in a difficult environment.
5. To educate undergraduates with high volitional qualities, psychological training, the development of firm will and self-control in case of sudden and unexpected changes in the situation.
6. Preparation and publication of educational, methodical and scientific materials to ensure the educational activities of the department.
