REQUIREMENTS FOR MANUSCRIPTS PUBLISHED IN THE MILITARY-THEORETICAL JOURNAL «BAGDAR-ORIENTIR»

1. In the military-theoretical journal «Bagdar-Orientir» articles are published in Kazakh, Russian, and English. Articles submitted for publication should cover current issues of geopolitics and security, military art, military training and education, military history, weapons and military equipment.
Submitting the text of the work for publication in the journal, the author guarantees the correctness of all information about himself, the absence of plagiarism and other forms of illegal borrowing in the manuscript, the proper design of all borrowings of the text, tables, diagrams, illustrations.
The volume of the article should be from 5 to 8 pages, including tables (figures) in A4 format. The article is submitted to the Editorial Board (Secretary) in electronic and paper versions (Office 2000, Word, Times New Roman,14 pt) in one copy.
2. Russian text typeface-Times New Roman, size-14, single interval. For the text in the state language, the font is Times New Roman KZ, size-14, single spacing.
The title of the article should reflect the content of the article, the subject matter, the results of the scientific research and meet the requirements of information content, attractiveness and uniqueness (no more than 12 words). The title of the scientific article is written in capital letters in the center of the sheet as required by GOST 7.5-98.
Above the title on the left side is the UDC (universal decimal classification) and under it is a code of inter-state rubricator for scientific and technical information - MMTI (http://grnti.ru/), then the surname and initials of the author, and also binds the author to the basic place of work – affiliation. In this case, the name of the organization must correspond to the last official legal name with the indication of the city and country, without the form of ownership and departmental affiliation.
Under the heading scientific articles in Kazakh, Russian and English languages is given an abstract (minimum of 100 words and no more than 200 words) describing the subject and the conclusions of the article and meeting the requirements of informativeness and the informative (should not contain formulas, the content to repeat the article name; should not contain bibliographic references; it should reflect the summary of the article, while maintaining the structure of the article – introduction, problem statement, objectives, history, research methods, results/discussion, conclusions) and key words (5-10 words/phrases) that are informative, reflecting the narrowly focused articles (should reflect the main content of the article, not to repeat the terms of the headings and annotations use terms from the text of the article, and the terms that define the subject area and including other important concepts, to facilitate and expand the possibilities of finding the article by means of an information retrieval system).
A well-designed and translated abstract increases the interest in the article, as well as the probability of citing the article by domestic and foreign colleagues.
Then the text of the article is placed, which should contain an introduction, task statement, goals, history, research methods, results/discussion, conclusion/conclusions.
3. When writing a manuscript of a scientific article, it is necessary to adhere to the following requirements:
Tables and figures should be placed after the mention (link in the text). Tables should be titled, and they should not contain empty graphs. Each illustration should be followed by an inscription. In tables, figures, formulas there should be no discrepancies in the designation of symbols, signs. Drawings should be clear, clean, and not scanned. Formulas must be typed in the appropriate editor (for mathematical and chemical formulas). The article numbers only those formulas that are referenced in the text. Abbreviations and symbols should be explained in the note.
All abbreviations and abbreviations, with the exception of known abbreviations, must be deciphered at the first use in the text.
Illustrative materials are presented in the following formats: for photos, drawings-tiff or jepg (300 dpi for black and white and color); graphics, diagrams, diagrams, etc. - exls, cdr. On the back of the drawing or under it, the author's surname, the title of the article and the number of the drawing are indicated. Illustrations can be placed in the text, but they must be attached as separate files, which will later be used for layout. Captions are given in a separate list at the end of the article.
The list of references is drawn up in accordance with GOST 7.1-2003. In the text, references are indicated in square brackets [1], the reference to the book in the main text of the article should be accompanied by an indication of the pages used [1, p. 29]. References should be numbered strictly in the order of their mention in the text. The first reference in the text to the literature should have the number [1], the second - [2], etc. Information about sources should be arranged in the order of appearance of references to sources in the text and numbered in Arabic numerals without a dot and printed with paragraph indentation. The bibliographic record is made in the original language. References to unpublished works are not allowed. Links to non-censored publications are undesirable.
After the list of references, the surname, initials of the authors, as well as their academic degree and academic title (if any), military rank and position (if no academic degree and academic title) are presented.
4. The manuscript of the scientific article is accompanied by:
expert opinion of the state secrets protection service, on the basis of which the publication of the material in the open press is allowed;
certificate of the results of checking for the presence of borrowings;
review of the article (except for persons who have the academic degrees of Candidate and Doctor of Sciences, PhD);
extract from the minutes of the meeting of the Department of the University, certified by the official seal and recommending this article for publication.
5. The manuscript should be carefully verified. Manuscripts that do not meet the technical requirements will be returned for revision. Returning for revision does not mean that the manuscript is accepted for publication.
6. Responsible for the scientific content of the article is the author (authors). The Editorial Board reserves the right to publish or reject the manuscript for publication. Manuscripts submitted to the editorial office are not returned.
