On May 9, 2021, the leadership of the National Defense University named after the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy held a ceremony of laying flowers at the monument to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War in Zheruyyk Park.
The ceremony of laying flowers was held at the monument to the Hero of the Soviet Union, Major General Ivan Vasilyevich Panfilov. The leadership and teaching staff of the National Defense University took part in honoring their memory, and also honored the memory of those who gave their lives for the Victory over the Nazi invaders with a minute of silence.
