On 23rd December, 2022, an international scientific conference was held on the premises of the National Defence University on: “Bauyrzhan Momyshuly – the son of the Kazakh people, the legendary commander.”
The conference was attended by the leadership of the Department of Military Education and Science, representatives of the CSTO, faculties and departments, researchers, doctoral students of the National Defence University and other higher military educational institutions.
As the head of the Department of Military Education and Science, Major General Akhmetov Zh.Kh., disseminated knowledge on the history of the people, deep assimilation of historical experience and lessons of military history which allows at present to predict promising directions for the development of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan

There is not a single person in the world whose fate would not be determined by individuals with high intelligence, great willpower, patriotism, and a powerful national spirit. One of these people is the Hero of the Soviet Union, the legendary commander Bauyrzhan Momyshuly.
The format of the conference allowed all participants to exchange views in a constructive manner, discuss current areas of the historical heritage of the Hero of the Soviet Union Bauyrzhan Momyshuly, identify vectors for further development and strengthening of cooperation in ensuring military security.
Major General L.S. Alchekenov, the head of the National Defence University named after the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy, emphasized in his speech that the path of the great Baurzhan Momyshuly is a guideline for the development of officers .
and the works of the legendary commander are the basis for determining promising areas for the development of military art.
